Following Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 Plan

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 was built around three main themes: a vibrant society, a thriving economy and an ambitious nation. Here at Kabbani Construction Group, we are committed to upholding all three; We are promoting a vibrant society by supporting workplace diversity as a corporate priority. Since we are part of the Saudi economy, we are making sure it is thriving by putting into it as much as we are receiving. We are promoting ambition by constantly looking for ways of improving in order to maintain our position as masters of specialized contracting in the market, which we do by embracing the latest advancements and technologies and introducing them into our business. In order for our government to fulfill the ambitious goals of Vision 2030, we need to come together as an economy, a society and a country to ensure that we achieve the objectives we have set for ourselves. This is why we have decided to make sure our values and our policies are in line with those of Vision 2030; in order to make sure that we are doing our part in helping our country reach its maximum potential.

Increase Women's Participation in the Workplace

One of the main goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is to increase the number of women in the workforce from 22% to 30%. We are doing our part by actively hiring and promoting women in the workplace. We have hired a total of 58 women since 2016, an increase of about 500% from previous years, including female engineers. In accordance with our country’s new regulations, we have also designated a specific area where women who choose to drive can park their cars.

Digital Transformation

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 includes a National Transformation Program that aims to support digital transformation within all industries and sectors in the country, ensuring the sustainability of vital resources. At KCG, we do our part to support this through our dedicated Digital Unit taskforce, which has recently worked hard to incorporate BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Digital Construction techniques and methods in our service list. This enables us to provide broad and detailed views of all phases of a project, helping mitigate or avoid problems that can stall a project, which will help transform the country into a more functional and sustainable environment.

Achieve Environmental Sustainability

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plans to achieve environmental sustainability and that includes investing in a renewable energy market. There is currently a lack of renewable and alternative energy presence in Saudi Arabia today and we want to change that. Here at KCG, we have recently established a new company called IK Energy that is dedicated to providing solar and other forms of renewable energy systems to the region, including the Saudi market. Solar energy is the cleanest and most renewable source of energy and, considering we receive more energy from the sun in one hour than the entire world uses in one year, it is very cost-effective and reliable.

Develop Our Cities

Part of Vision 2030’s goals is to ensure a high quality of life for all citizens by providing high quality services such as public transport and roads. We are committed to doing our part in developing and improving the cities of Saudi Arabia by introducing the latest technologies and advancements into the services that we provide for the country. Several of our companies have provided their services to the many public transportation projects currently under development in the country, such as the Riyadh Metro project, as well as airports, roads and bridges refurbishment projects, such as the new King Abdulaziz International Airport, in many of the major cities.

Lower the Rate of Unemployment

Vision 2030 aims to reduce the rate of Saudi unemployment from about 11.6% to 7%. We are constantly looking for Saudi nationals to employ in our company at all levels, starting from entry to upper management, as well as providing recent Saudi graduates with training programs to help introduce and integrate them into the workplace. KCG also recently participated in the Wadaef Job Fair, an event that was organized by the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, in support of the governmental efforts of nationalizing jobs and to increase Saudization levels in all markets.

Launch New & Promising Sectors

With new technologies and resources being discovered at a rapid pace, one of Vision 2030’s goals involves supporting new and promising sectors and introducing them into the country’s economy in order to diversify it. In terms of manufacturing, this includes renewable energy and industrial equipment. With solar energy and industrial services companies, we are already involved in both sectors, with dedicated taskforces making sure those companies reach their maximum potential.

Embrace Transparency

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aims to promote transparency with zero tolerance levels for corruption of any kind. The highest objective of our corporate governance is to create an environment of openness and transparency with ethical values and corporate responsibility. We have a taskforce dedicated to making sure all our operations and transactions are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Be Responsible to Society

We recognize that we have a social responsibility to our community and we embrace it. We fulfill that responsibility by supporting and developing education initiatives in local areas, promoting social inclusion and developing a partnership approach with local communities. We also do our best to protect the environment and conserve resources across our supply chain, building strong relationships with environmental organizations and foundations in our communities. We are also partnering with ministries and government organizations to sponsor special celebratory events, such as one for Saudi National Day, for local communities. KCG has also recently participated in magazines published by the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior, highlighting our support of both organizations as well as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
