IKK Mateenbar, the latest member of the IKK family and the first fiberglass rebar facility in Saudi Arabia, was recently inaugurated with a ceremony.
IKK Mateenbar was established under a memorandum of understanding signed by New Zealand’s Pultron Composites, and IKK Group, with Saudi Aramco. The launch of this facility comes as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to attract and localize the rebar industry. This is also in line with efforts to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, in terms of diversifying the national economy, promoting innovation in the Kingdom, and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s international relations. IKK Mateenbar will manufacture and supply corrosion-free fiberglass rebar for infrastructure projects in the Kingdom, as well as the Middle East and North Africa region.
The launch was in the presence of IKK Chairman Mr. Hassan Alkabbani, KCG CEO Eng. Hatem Salaheldin, IKK Mateenbar General Manager Mr. Hamed Bader, Saudi Aramco Vice President Mr. Ahmad Al Sa’adi, the New Zealand Embassy’s Chargée D’affaires, Ms. Louise Searle, and the Chairman of the National Industrial Committee of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh.
This marks a brand new start for the revolutionary new company, which is already set to be a leader in the market, not only in Saudi Arabia but in the entire region as well.
