KPT is currently hard at work on the Medical Village project in Riyadh. Owned by Tatweer Real Estate and located in the heart of Riyadh, the project consists of 10 specialty hospital towers ranging from 8 to 12 storeys in height, each equipped to accommodate 120 to 150 beds for patients, as well as education and research buildings, office buildings, residential towers, a hotel, a central mosque, a cental park and parking facilities. Although each hospital tower was designed to function as a standalone building, there will be a corridor connecting all the towers together, enabling each hospital’s specialized services to be shared. The aim of Medical Village Riyadh is to create a community that promotes wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle by providing patients and customers with a warm and welcoming design that encourages a healing environment.
KPT’s scope of work for Medical Village Riyadh included providing the post-tensioning works for the project’s clinics and the interconnecting bridge slab, strengthening and reinforcing the structure of the buildings by applying tension to the reinforcing rods after the concrete has set.
