KAC’s Work On KFU Al Ahsa Project

KAC (Kabbani Architectural Concepts) has completed their work on the King Faisal University in Al Ahsa project. King Faisal University is a public university currently located in the city of Hofuf in the Al Ahsa region of Saudi Arabia. Originally founded in 1975 as four colleges, two in Dammam and two in Al Ahsa, King Faisal University has sought to strengthen and revitalize scientific research in different fields and disciplines through efforts by its faculty members and student body, as well as through cross coordination with other universities and faculties in the region.

King Faisal University recently started an expansion in 2017 to accommodate an increasing number of students and to introduce a new medical university campus close to the main campus in the city of Hofuf, including new facilities and medical and scientific laboratories to suit the faculty members’ needs.

KAC’s scope of work on the project included the fit-out works for buildings #30, #33 and #53 on the campus, making the buildings ready and suitable for their purpose of education. The project included a combined floor area of about 18,000 square meters. Aside from fit-out works, KAC also provided the supply and installation of all finishing and furniture items inside the buildings, including the preparation of drawings, transferring the clients’ ideas and imagination into reality. Each building is composed of several different areas, including main entrances, lobbies, registration areas, multipurpose rooms, cafeterias, lounges, libraries, auditoriums and corridors.

The team at KAC, comprised of a project manager, dedicated engineers, diligent safety officers and skilled laborers, have successfully completed the project on-time and on-budget and the university is set to open in 2019.
